Global Partnerships

Haiti is the poorest country in

the Western Hemisphere.

A study conducted by The Center For Human Rights and Global Justice found that 70% of the population does not have access to potable water.  This results in the citizens of Haiti suffering with waterborne illness like typhoid, cholera, and chronic diarrhea.Children often have to walk miles each day to collect water for their families, often gathering water from streams, ponds, or garbage filled rivers. Aqua Leaders raised money to purchase Uzima Water Filters for Father Yvans Jazon to take on his next mission trip to Haiti. Using these filters families will be able to filter their water before use, minimizing their exposure to waterborne illness.

Children around the world do not have access to clean water to meet their daily needs. We organized a campaign to solicit donations from members of our community and local businesses.

Team Members donated $500 to Just One Africa which provides 7 million gallons of clean water.

To give a little visual: an Olympic swimming pool only has 660,000 gallons of water.

  • $500 will purchase 7 water filters

  • 7 water filters will provide clean water for 175 lives
